Join Marin County Bicycle Coaliton and head across the R-SR Bridge to explore the Richmond Greenway, Ohlone Greenway, & Bay Trail! It will be your chance to check out three essential East Bay bike routes: the Richmond Greenway, Ohlone Greenway, and Bay Trail! Whether you are a new or seasoned bike commuter looking for the best route to work, or someone looking for weekend exploration across the Bay, this is a great way to connect and have fun with fellow bike lovers! The route will be a great introduction to exploring the East Bay by bike, with the Greenways and Bay Trail providing connections to transit (BART and ferry), parks, public art, dining/drinks, and other great destinations, including Rosie the Riveter National Historic Park. This 30-mile ride is open to all ability levels and will take 3-4 hours, depending on your pace.

Join fellow music lovers for an evening of classical Indian music at ‘The Temple’ nestled in the redwoods of Mill Valley. Jaya Jog and William Rossel will be bringing you the heartfelt music of India with their skilled performances. Jaya Jog is a noted classical Sitarist from Pune (India), and a disciple of reputed Sitarist Ustad Usman Khan of the Been-kaar Gharana, one of the oldest Sitar lineages in India. She regularly performs in many reputed music festivals and concerts within India as well as abroad. William Rossel is a rapidly rising tabla performer and educator in the field of Indian music. He began his studies in Hindustani music 20 years ago, under sitarist Nalini Vinayak. Equally strong as a soloist and accompanist, William has accompanied such prominent artists as Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri, Sri Alam Khan, Sri Arjun Verma, Sri Manik Khan, Hasu Patel, and Sri Suman Laha, to name just a few.

Stop by Aroma Cafe this weekend and feast your eyes on the uplifting exhibit “Love. Birds.” by artist and photographer Cathy Summa-Wolfe. The exhibit features over 20 large format prints on canvas and metal, with dramatic flight shots as well as intimate portraits of wild birds from around the world, including Japan, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, India, and Marin County. Not a typical wildlife photography exhibit, the artist takes a more painterly approach in printing large format images on non-traditional media. The inspiration for the show came from a recent article published in the Journal Science titled the “Decline of the North American avifauna”, which reported the staggering decline of bird populations.
