The Bank of Marin Turkey Trot celebrates their 20th Anniversary this year! This iconic Thanksgiving morning run includes a 1-mile, 5K and 10K run through the picturesque Indian Valley College in Novato. The race is open for all ages, and families often come along and join in the fun. Take this chance to burn off a little of the calories you will be consuming on Thanksgiving! Proceeds from the run will be used to support School Fuel, the local education foundation supporting wellness, literacy, visual and performing arts, and technology for all of the Novato public schools.

The Annual Dino Ghilotti Motta Memorial Turkey Bowl is just right around the corner! Now on its 6th year, this event is more than just a great way to bring old friends together. This was an event that Dino truly looked forward to each year as a staple of his visit back home during the Thanksgiving break. Dino was a fierce competitor and truly loved the game of football, so what better way to honor the memories of him on the field than to celebrate and give thanks in true Dino fashion! Proceeds from the event will go to support the dg Foundation, which is dedicated to helping students with a passion for academics, athletics and the arts, by awarding scholarships to San Domenico School, Marin Catholic High School, the

University of Miami, and improving art programs and facilities across the nation.

Bolinas Museum 2-Mile Turkey Trot

Now on its 10th year, don’t miss the annual Bolinas Museum 2-mile Turkey Trot! Cosponsored by Bolinas-Stinson Beach School Foundation with support from Parkside Cafe and Smiley’s Schooner Saloon, this family-friendly 2-mile walk-trot-run is a popular post-Thanksgiving tradition! Racers will begin at the Bolinas Museum, wind uphill through eucalyptus trees and open fields, pass by breathtaking coastal views, and through the heart of downtown, before ending back at the Museum where prizes are awarded, and Parkside donuts, lemonade, and Smiley’s Schooner Saloon Bloody Mary’s will be waiting!
